Project Details

Pinehill Plantations was established on 17 March 1967. It was then called Federal Oil Palm Sendirian Berhad. Thereafter, in 19 November 1994, the company changed its name to Benta Plantations (Perak) Sdn Bhd and to its current name, Pinehill Plantations (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd on 18 January 2011.

Pinehill Plantations operates as an agriculture company, which engages in the cultivation and operation of oil palm plantation and mill processing. The company has been an establishment renowned for creating a tranquil balance between operating successful plantations and nurturing the ecosystem it is in.

Our company has always adopted the best agricultural practices and invested in new technologies to expand processing capabilities. This serves as a long-term strategy to head towards a better future. While our company has always looked towards incorporating newer technologies to maintain the quality and quantity of our oil palm, we have also adopted sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. Thus, we have taken conscious efforts to learn about the impact of oil palm plantations on the environment and have taken measures to minimise our footprint on the natural surroundings.

Some of the practices we have successfully undertaken includes complying with mandatory environmental requirements – with the focus on areas such as effluent treatment, oil palm biomass recycling, and zero burning. While we are looking to expand our cultivation of oil palm and introduce more efficient processes, we want to maintain a synergetic balance between our work and our impact on the environment.

Pinehill Plantations plantation assets were sold to United Plantations Berhad for a total consideration of RM 413 million in September 2019.
